Hi friend,
Today is the winter solstice — the longest night of the year — and I just wanted to pause and say thank you for being here.
This year has been full in ways I expected and mostly in ways I could never have seen coming. Writing this newsletter every week for the last several months, thinking out loud about conflict, power, repair, and relational life — it’s been buoyed and deepened by knowing you’re on the other side of it — reading, responding, exploring it alongside me.
As the year winds down, I wanted to share a small roundup, a few pieces that trace the arc of my thinking this year — from naming the polycrisis moment we shifted deeper into, to practicing discernment inside it.
a year of essays
conversations & interviews
- 🎧 How to Hold it All, on Off the Grid — weaving our experiences of grief, witnessing, conflict, rest, deep sorrow, and profound joy
- 🎧 Untangling from Patriarchy, on the Rooted Podcast — finding the courage it takes to stay present in conversations that challenge us
- 🎧 Moving Towards Conflict, on Aggressively Human — navigating rupture, tension, and transformation
In the weeks ahead, I’ll be moving a little more slowly, a little more intentionally — including opening the doors to our inaugural Reading Room on the first full moon of the new year — starting with a public study of Audre Lorde’s “Uses of the Erotic.” If that feels like a nourishing way to begin January, I’d love to see you there.
For now: wishing you a nourishment and ease on this darkest night. May this turning of the year bring you rest, warmth, and just enough light to keep going.

when you’re ready for more clarity in complexity, here are a few ways we can work together:
🌱 Office Hours: An hour of grounded, systems-minded support for whatever feels complex in your leadership, relationships, or strategy. Bring the knot; we’ll untangle it together.
🌿 Conflict Midwifery: For organizations ready to meet challenge with integrity. I walk alongside teams, boards, and leaders navigating rupture, power, and change — toward more honest, healing ways of working.
🔥 Relational Skills Workshops: Practical, embodied trainings for teams learning to turn tension into transformation. Build the muscle for equity in practice — through accountability, repair, and right-sized power.
